We see a beauty only we have seen
I see it in you, you see it in me

OOC info

  • I, the pilot, am 24 years old and nonbinary. I'd like to roleplay with other adults (at least 21 years old, please).

  • I'm interested in exploring all kinds of roleplay! Typically I have Jun in fairly mundane situations - I am most interested in fleshing out how ordinary life in Eorzea works through RP. But I'm happy to workshop any ideas you might have!

  • Mature/romance RP -- I'll consider it on a case-by-case basis. Jun is polyam and currently unpartnered, but they appreciate beauty wherever they see it. They're pretty reserved and a bit dense, though, so a prospective partner will need to be direct with them!

  • Outside of RP, I try to do a bit of everything in-game. Raiding, fishing, dress-up -- I love it all! By far my favorite activity is helping others, though -- so do let me know if I can be of service.

  • I'd love to workshop/schedule RP or talk characters with you! Please send me a tell if you have anything to say about Jun, or if you'd like their "dark magic incantation" (IYKYK). Looking forward to meeting you!

First impressions

Things you could figure out at a glance.

  • Androgynous: Everything about their appearance suggests that they try to give off the impression that they are neither male nor female. How you interpret their performance is, of course, up to you.

  • Vain: Very particular about their appearance. Rare is the time where they are not perfectly made up and dressed for the occasion.

  • Polite, almost excessively: Their manners are nigh impeccable, but not in the way someone with a rich upbringing is – every greeting and honorific seems incredibly practiced.

  • Well-read: Constantly referencing novels or quoting flowery lines from some manner of book. They may appreciate a new friend who’s also aware of the Eorzean literary scene.

  • Fragrant: They either smell like the Shroud in bloom, or like they've just been baking pastries. A perceptive one might notice cinnamon, vanilla bean, fruit, nutmeg, and other common pastry ingredients.

Slightly more in-depth

How they live their life. What you can learn from a few conversations.

  • Master artisan: Jun runs a small crafting studio in Ishgard, where they take custom crafting orders for ornamental items like jewelry and clothing. They honed their skills at their previous job – filling leve orders for basic adventuring gear at the Shaded Bower in Gridania.

  • Enthusiastic home cook: Jun adores a good meal and has found cooking to be both fun and profitable. First starting with vegetarian cuisine and pastries, they have since progressed to cooking all kinds of food! Currently, their obsession is with a Doman cookbook they received as a gift over Heavensturn.

  • Hobby generalist: Aside from their career as an independent artisan, Jun has various hobbies, which they are happy to enthuse about to anyone willing to listen. Expect them to discuss their favorite fiction novels, gouache painting (they’re just alright at it), basic conjury (they only know two spells) and more!

  • Socially awkward: Despite their deep knowledge of etiquette, Jun struggles to connect with others naturally and form genuine bonds. They spend a lot of time and effort reading books, practicing their conversation topics in the mirror at home, and mimicking the behavior of more sociable acquaintances… though they often find that gift giving is a better way of expressing how much they care.

  • Mundane traveler: Once, Jun tried attuning to two aetherytes in Gridania and transporting between them. They spent the next three days sick in bed, drained from the strain that even jumping short distances put on their body. Having learned their lesson quickly, they opted instead to stick to conventional means of travel ever after – airships, chocobo porters, and their own two feet, when neither of those are possible.

rp hooks

A few suggestions for ways to start RP with Jun. If you have ideas for openers that aren't listed here, feel free to send a tell and lab it out with me!

  • Burgeoning small business: Jun can be found serving up breakfast most Sunday mornings at the Farmer's Attic, a cooperative market with a range of vendors. Or you might find them peddling garments every other Thursday at Port Bazaar, a Hannish night market in the heart of Ul'dah. Wherever they may be, Jun will always help those pursuing beauty!

  • Fiction enthusiast: Jun is a huge fan of Eorzean fiction and loves discussing their favorite series. They would love to enthuse about books to any other avid readers (or even authors), or even give book recommendations!

  • Adventurer admirer: More than anything else, Jun loves hearing stories of far-off lands and wondrous encounters from people who have travelled the star. They have neither the ability nor the fortitude to travel far, so learning about adventure second-hand is their next best option. If your character loves boasting about their adventures, you will not find a more enthusiastic captive audience than Jun!

  • Kits from another litter: Having never left Eorzea, Jun has little first-hand knowledge of tribal Viera history or culture, nor do they have many Vieran friends in the area. They would be delighted to meet more Viera, though they may need some misconceptions corrected.
